The new conversational messaging dream-team: Sinch + MessengerPeople

Founded in Munich in 2015, MessengerPeople offers a cloud-based software suite that makes it easy for businesses to engage with their customers via messaging apps like WhatsApp, Telegram and Apple Business Chat (iMessage). A pioneer in its field, MessengerPeople was amongst the very first innovators to recognize the potential of next generation messaging channels and build software tools for businesses to leverage these capabilities.

With the acquisition, MessengerPeople becomes part of Sinch. Our software-as-a-service solution complements Sinch’s API-based offering for larger enterprises and channel partners. The acquisition builds on Sinch’s ongoing organic investments and previous acquisitions in the conversational messaging space.
The goals of integrating MessengerPeople into the Sinch family are cross-sales, accelerated geographic expansion, and product integration with Sinch’s communications APIs plus associated Sinch applications.

What will change for MessengerPeople (new) customers?
There are still various formalities to be completed, but we expect the transaction to be formally closed in Q4 2021.
For now, nothing will change for new and existing customers. MessengerPeople will continue to operate as a German company with all privacy and other legal requirements!
In terms of product and pricing, we will be able to offer an even broader range of services for both larger enterprise customers and smaller companies at the beginning of next year.
